PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. It is a school-wide system to promote positive behavior and create an environment in which ALL students can learn.

PBIS falls under the MTSS umbrella. MTSS stands for Multi-Tiered System of Supports. PBIS is just one piece of the puzzle for how we support our Thunderbirds.

Here at Val Verde Elementary, our motto is "Thunderbirds SOAR!" SOAR stands for Stay safe, Overcome obstacles, Act responsibly, and Respect others.
