PBIS

What is PBIS?

PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. It is a school-wide system to promote positive behavior and create an environment in which ALL students can learn.

Our School-Wide Expectations (SOAR)

Here at Val Verde Elementary, we strive to SOAR like Thunderbirds. SOAR is our acronym to help staff and students remember our behavior expectations.

S - Stay Safe

O - Overcome Obstacles

A - Act Responsibly

R - Respect Others

Please discuss our school-wide behavior expectations with your children. Remind them to SOAR at school and at home!

Students receive Thunderbucks for showing how they SOAR. They are able to spend these Thunderbucks at our Thunderbird Store each month.
