What is AVID?

At Val Verde Elementary, we are an AVID school and part of the AVID school district. AVID stands for the Advancement Via Individual Determination. We, at VVES, instill a value of college-going culture and provide them with learning opportunities from Kindergarten all throughout 6th grade so students will be college and career ready for their future.
